Garage owners in Belgium legally need to keep a register that contains which cars go in and out in your garage. Thanks to Billit you can also do this completely digital now.
After deregistering a vehicle you can easily add the invoice number to the registration. That way, you always have an overview of the cars in your garage and you comply with the Circulaire 2018/C/47 regarding the the VAT register of motor vehicles.
Click the 'Settings' menu and check the box next to 'Register book' in the 'Bèta' section. Next, click 'Save' at the bottom. The register book will now appear in the left hand menu in Billit.
To register a vehicle, click 'Register book' in the left hand menu. Now fill in the following fields:
When you filled in all fields, click 'Add' to add the vehicle to the register.
To deregister the vehicle afterwards click 'Car out'. A window will appear where you can enter the invoice number that belongs to this registration. If you haven't drafted an invoice yet while checking out, you can add it later. Keep in mind that you need to add the invoice number at the latest by the end of the month following the month in which the vehicle left your premises.
After filling in the invoice number the customer VAT number on that invoice will be added automatically to the registration.
