IMR or Invoice Message Response messages give detailed feedback to your supplier about the electronic invoices you received. These messages are sent automatically based on certain actions you take in Billit.

You can compare an IMR message to a reading confirmation or a blue checkmark in WhatsApp. Although it gives much more insight than a regular reading confirmation.

• Which problems does IMR solve?

• Your supplier knows which invoices were correctly delivered to you. 
• Your supplier immediately knows which invoices you accept or reject.
• Your supplier immediately knows which invoices you have paid, even before the money is in his account.
• Your supplier can quickly and easily generate up to date overviews of all sales invoices for their CFO or general manager.

• When does Billit send these messages to my supplier?

• Received: Billit received the invoice, IMR sent automatically)
• Accepted: processed in 'Fast input' and available in Billit, IMR automaticallly sent
• (Rejected: this status is not yet available)
• In processing: the invoice is submitted in 'Fast input', IMR automatically sent
• (Extra information necessary: this status is not yet available)
• (Conditionally accepted: this status is not yet available)
• Paid: invoice has the status 'Paid' in Billit, IMR sent automatically 

• What about existing MLR messages?

Besides IMR messages Billit customers can also receive MLR or Message Level Response messages. These MLR messages give you technical feedback from the Peppol network. As Billit user you don't have consider the differences betwee these two messages. You will receive the different messages in a clear overview in the message section of the invoice detail page.
