Billit has several ways of receiving invoices:
On this page you can find more info on all ways to receive or upload invoices in Billit.
If you use your own email address to send your invoices, you can also have your inbox scanned for emails containing invoices. When this option is activated, Billit scans your inbox or a specified folder for emails every 60 minutes, where the subject or body contains the words 'Invoice' or 'Credit Note'. The attachments of those emails are automatically placed in your Quick Entry for processing. If it's a digital invoice, you can also set it to be automatically added to the list of expenses.
To activate this option, you need to first configure your emails to be sent from Billit using your own email address. You can learn how to do this in this help article.
Note: Email retrieval only works when configuring your own email server, not when your email address is impersonated via the SPF record!
Then, navigate to the 'Settings' menu and enable the option next to the item 'Grant Billit permission to read attachments from your email xxx@xxx.xx'. Enter the IMAP server and optionally specify a folder that Billit may scan for invoices. Don't forget to click 'Save' afterward.
Once the link is established, Billit begins scanning your inbox. This applies only to emails received from that moment onward. Older emails will no longer be automatically checked for invoices or credit notes.
