Invoicing with Billit via SAT

    Every e-invoice to a Mexican company needs to be signed digitally. If you use Billit, you can do this easily with the click of a button.

    Company and Customer Settings

    Before you can sign an invoice, you need to fill in the correct information for both your company and your customer.

    My company 

    • Go to 'My company' in the top left corner and the 'Company' tab
    • Click the '+' sign next to 'VAT or CBE NO' and select 'TIN'
    • Fill in your TIN number
    • Select the correct Tax regime and sub-regime from the dropdown menus
    • In the 'Invoicing address' section below, fill in the correct ZIP code for your company
    • Click 'Save' at the bottom to confirm

    Send and sign an e-invoice

    • After creating an invoice, you will see a "Sign E-invoice" button at the bottom. Click it and you will get a pop-up asking for your confirmation. Choose 'Confirm' to sign your e-invoice.
    • A new section with the signature data and QR code will  now appear at the bottom.
    • To send you invoice, click the 'Send' button at the bottom and choose on of the delivery methods.

    You can also send an invoice by immediately clicking the 'Send' button. In that case, the invoice will be signed automatically.

    Please note: Once your invoice is signed, you cannot edit it anymore. Make sure your invoice is final before you click 'Sign E-invoice'.
