Some companies benefit from a VAT exemption. If this is the case for your company, you can indicate this in the company file by unchecking the checkbox next to 'VAT liable'.
You can also indicate in the company file that your company is a so-called small business. Small businesses also enjoy a VAT exemption, but are required by law to indicate this on their invoice. When you check this box, Billit will automatically place this indication on your invoices.
Note: Never check both boxes at the same time: a business cannot be both liable to VAT and still be a small business that is not liable to VAT.
