Email settings

You can find all email settings by clicking on the 'Settings' menu and then selecting the 'General' submenu.

    Q: While sending an email I get the following Office 365 error in my mailbox: "Access denied, Your organization does not allow external forwarding. Please contact your administrator" 
    A: This problem can be caused by a new Microsoft safety setting. Read how you can change this setting.

    Q: While setting up to send from my own Office 365 email address I get the following error: "The email settings are not correct or the mail server you select does not allow mailing from XXX@YYYY.ZZ: The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: 5.7.XXX SMTP, Client was not authenticated to send anonymous mail during MAIL FROM [……]"
    A: This error message can refer to two possible issues:

    1. Microsoft considers your password expired. To solve this, you need to set a new Microsoft password.
    2. Issues with the twofactoridentification. To solve this you need to create a specific app password, via the Microsoft settings page.

    Q: I can't configure my SMTP. What should I do?
    A: First check if the follwing settings are correct:


    1.    Check if the SMTP server is correct according to your provider. For Office 365 you need to enter 'smtp-mail.outlook.com' here.
    2.    The email address in your SMTP settings should be the same as your company profile.
    3.    You can find the error messages and possible actions for this below.
    4.    Check if your browser's autocompete function is not filling in the Billit password, instead of that for your mailbox.
